Sehr gute Artikel in der @zeit.de zu hybrider Kriegsführung Russlands. Allein zum Unterpunkt #Desinformation könnte man einen ganzen Artikel verfassen. Wir müssen hier ein klares Zeichen setzen - für unsere liberale aber auch widerstandsfähige Gesellschaft

Honestly, I never really understood how a decentralized, protocol-run social media “entity” would eliminate the problem of CSAM and other illegal / harmful content (rather than just pushing it to fringe instances / servers where admins would allow such content).
👀 As many trust & safety professionals have noted, the fediverse has a CSAM problem that needs to be dealt with. But I'm not sure just flat out revoking a domain name is the way to do that.
TIL what happens when reports of CSAM hit a federated instance of Mastodon — with implications for any platform hosted on an .xyz domain.
