What a great fieldwork crew here at @turkeylakes.bsky.social! (Bugs not included :D)
I'm lucky to visit Magali Nehemy's lab @trentuniversity.bsky.social 🇨🇦, getting new insights & exchanging about #ecohydrology #ecophysiology Thanks to the team! @daniellehudson.bsky.social

Curious about temporary streams in humid areas? In the latest study out of @turkeylakes.bsky.social Leach et al. use 36 yrs of data to investigate spatial & temporal patterns of zero-flow days. Take a read & reach out if you have any interest in TLW datasets! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....
Zero‐Flow Dynamics for Headwater Streams in a Humid Forested Landscape
We characterised zero-flow periods over a 36-year period in 13 humid headwater catchments that experience seasonal snow cover. Inter-annual variability in the number of zero-flow days was not related...

Last day of my field season was a beauty, first big snowfall up at the @turkeylakes.bsky.social. Data and sample collection continues year round in the watershed. #experimentalwatershed #catchmentscience #longtermstudy

Follow along with the scientific research going on at the Turkey Lakes Watershed, an experimental basin located just north of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. It was established in the early 1980s for the purpose of acid rain research, and has evolved into much more since then!

At @turkeylakes.bsky.social we’ve been busy buttoning up our hillslope monitoring sites for a long winter. However, streamflow, water chemistry and meteorological measurements continue year round.
