“If no lawyer within earshot of the President is willing to give him that advice, then I expect you will eventually find someone who is enough of a fool, or enough of a coward, to file your motion. But it was never going to be me.”

I have a new bucket list item. Write an email using all of these banned words.
2. A memo distributed by NSA leadership to its staff says that on February 10, all NSA websites and internal network pages that contain banned words will be deleted.

This is the list of 27 banned words distributed to NSA staff:

I believe the intent of this moment is to unravel New Deal sensibilities, and attack existing civil rights in place since the 19th century.
An HBCU conference at Rutgers was cancelled following Trump's EO:

This is a critically important point. The language we use either adopts this administration’s framing (anti-DEI) or we can tell the truth. This is an attempt to continue to erode civil rights. It is an anti-civil rights movement.
So, just to be clear: rescinding a 60-year-old executive order prohibiting discrimination in federal hiring and federal contracting is not ant-DEI, it is anti-civil rights. Efforts to subvert the 1964 Civil Rights Act are likely next,if you read what conservatives have said. And that's the beginning.

Is it ok to talk about pop culture on Bluesky? The only thing I miss about the platform formerly known as Twitter is that we have nowhere to live chat about big pop culture event. This rant is sponsored by the Beyoncé halftime show.

More birthright citizenship knowledge:

The Fourteenth Amendment's Birthright Citizenship provision was intended to address--and repudiate--the Supreme Court's decision in Dred Scott, which said that those descended from African slaves were not citizens, regardless of where they were born.
Please arm yourself with knowledge. Birthright citizenship is not a policy choice it is a constitutional imperative (14th Amendment). It can no more be signed away by Executive Order than the First Amendment.
Now that attacking birthright citizenship has become a Day 1 project for the incoming Trump admin, I dug out this rather comprehensive piece I wrote in 2011. It includes the source of Sen. Lindsay Graham’s emergence as the pitch man on this issue. politicalresearch.org/2011/03/01/c...
