I'd have loved a series with these two

I can understand it in Season 7, especially the barbed comment about the Silurians in Ambassadors.
But by S8, apart from his outburst with the disagreeable Mr Chinn, he just comes across as a rude & patronising bore.
The Daemons would've been a 4-parter if he hadn't been such a pompous arse

Like a classic series pt5, there's a bit of treading water & exposition but this is still hugely entertaining. Is the Grand Serpent one villain too many? Maybe but Craig Parkinson gives a suitably sinister performance plus we get Barbara Flynn, the Hermit & the adventures of Yaz, Dan & Jericho!
