Going to Cleveland tomorrow for the bucket hats alone. Might shave my beard into a mustache too. Fucking love trends.

I just visited a pro basketball player’s house and this is how I look in his bathroom mirror.

My boy Dilla, eating anything not tied down … including my sandals, my bike pump, highlighters, records, etc.

I'm currently re-reading Mark Fisher's Capitalist Realism and was struck by how this quote about Kurt Cobain so beautifully encapsulates art made with AI. Taking a wild swing (I didn't know the man) but I think Mark would have really hated Grok.

The modern fact is that we no longer believe in this world. We do not even believe in the events which happen to us, love, death, as if they only half concerned us ... The link between man and the world is broken. —Gilles Deleuze

Found a WWII fort in the forest near our rental in Terschelling. Can’t help but imagine being posted in a forest in winter, waiting out a long war.

In the car, on my way to Terschelling for a mini-holiday. It's a good day to uitwaaien (the Dutch tradition of walking in the wind).

One thing I particularly like about my long commute back from #Limburg is the luxury of sitting on a train and working on hard copy #writing drafts with absolutely zero distractions.

Pulling out Things Seen by #AnnieErnaux for my #Emerson students. Classes are just a week away and it's time to finalize the syllabus! Has anyone else read this book?

Read Good Old Neon last night for the first time in forever (since I'd given it to a student as an example of first-person obsessive rambling) and for all of DFWs faults, that meta-ending really devastates, especially when one is experiencing existential insomnia.

The fantastic mushrooms of the Dutch Veluwe. I’m especially curious about the one that’s broken open and hollow inside. #mushrooms #veluwe

Recently saw the Hilma af Klint exhibit in Den Haag and was really inspired by her work, as well as Mondriaan’s. Everyone in the Netherland’s should go see this exhibit of a brilliant pairing.

Reading this banger right now. Love the rambling tone.
