This photo by IVP Academic doesn’t convey how packed the room was. I was one of many squeezed into the front sitting on the floor, many others were standing at the back and along the sides. It was my highlight of #ETS. I hope everyone, everywhere will read @carmenjoyimes.bsky.social’s paper.

An overlooked giant of the 18th century: Sarah Trimmer (1741-1810)! She authored over 40 works, had 12 children, spent time with the Queen, championed the poor, started Sunday Schools, and influenced Hannah More, Jane Austen, & William Godwin. We need a movie or monograph about her! #history

Took a family trip to London, exploring the historic churches in the City. This photo is from John Newton's church, where he met Wilberforce to discuss whether Wilberforce could stay in politics with a clear conscience. I'm grateful he did and fought the slave trade.

Enchanted by the Fellows' Library at Jesus College, Oxford. Immense pride in my friend for being a Fellow here. Now for a day immersed in Wilberforce's papers at the Weston.
