Not that I know, but it makes sense that once repubs had enough power to corrupt the government, the dems would start abusing the power too, even tho in policy/principle they are writing bills to try to fix it. It doesn't mean they're in cahoots, just flawed humans. right?

I think positing an external, intelligent God that builds our universe like a watch maker requires some extra unfounded assumptions, compared to the idea that the universe = God. In which case God is a huge soup of atoms w/ no brain.

If we want to call the universal consciousness 'god', I think the most plausible answer is that the god is good in the sense that it wants good experience for everyone, powerful in the sense that it controls everything, but god doesn't have a brain and gets lost and confused, evil is just a mistake.

I think DH is stretching way too far by arguing our understandings must be wrong because our brains evolved for fitness, not truth. Truth helps, so fitness likely approaches truth. And once he takes that stance, all philosophy is wrong and pointless. So I think it's...entertaining but useless. 🤔
