Very sad, but taking comfort from the fact that he came to live with us for his final few months and had us all pampering him.

He lived like a King for that time 👑😿

A condition he picked up as a stray got the better of the poor little fellow. 🫤

He had a peaceful and calm exit from this world and we take comfort that his time with Meg and her housemates, and more recently with us, were full of love, chin scratches and chicken.

Sadly, as part of his life as a street cat, our little friend Spot had picked up a long term condition that today got the better of him.

His favourite things were sitting on my used running gear by the washing machine. Observing his household from the upstairs vantage point and snoozing in Jakes chair. On occasion he also enjoyed looking at the neighbours through their window whilst they ate dinner.

Spot had settled in well at our place and did a wonderful job of training his new team to cater for his requirements.

My son Jake becoming chief chin scratch attendant and wife Sarah assuming the roll of “the chicken lady” because Spot knew how to easily obtain both these things from his new members of staff… I was given the trainee litter tray warden and early morning breakfast provider position.

When Meg and her pals moved out of their accommodation, and as he was a stray in need of a place to put his paws up, Spot came to join our household as a member of team.

Spot, as he became known, was a real gent, polite, permanently in need of a chin scratch and a fondness for leftover lasagna, ham, chicken pieces and anything left on any plate, anywhere.
