What an energetic start to the morning! I stopped by Steve Cozine Elementary School to check out the CCSD Book Bus, and it was amazing to see how quickly it was surrounded by our bright young readers eager to dive into new books. Their excitement for learning is contagious!

Wow! The ACLU hosted an incredible brunch where they highlighted their amazing work and honored leaders who are fighting to make our communities more equitable. It was a powerful reminder of why we must stay united against those who seek to divide us.

The Las Vegas chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women had a phenomenal fundraiser this past weekend.
It was great to be surrounded by such strong powerhouses for the Madam CJ Walker Luncheon as we discussed bold solutions to urgent issues, community engagement and much more!

Today, we honor the thousands of lives lost and remember the bravery of the first responders and other Americans who were there to help on 9/11/2001. After one of the darkest days in our history we stood hand in hand and shined a light of hope.

The news coming out of Colorado and Utah is horrific. I condemn all forms of political violence and believe that civil debate is crucial to maintaining our democracy. My heart goes out to Charlie Kirk's family, our students, and anyone impacted by the tragedies we've seen across the west.
