You could already see this by the lack of progress on promised features in the last couple of months. Sad, but you can never trust Meta to deliver continuously(!) on features that are not intrinsically motivated to build

Cox seems to be the only one who cares about their existing products that make them all the money, while the rest of the leadership team is focused on some future that might or might not happen

There are 4 barbers at my barber shop. I don’t care who cuts my hair, but one of them is my usual. Now when he doesn’t have availability I can’t book with any of the others, because he might think I wasn’t happy with him last time

Chrome has introduced a split view, that shows two pages side by side. Are windows not a thing anymore?

I click this button every day and still get Shorts every where all the time. I can only imagine for people not clicking this button YouTube PMs must be showing up at their doorstep and waking them in the middle of the night to force them to watch even more Shorts.

Remember when your Android friends told you that they couldn’t live with a phone that doesn’t have a physical back button?
Must be tough today!

Do you think Microsoft regrets open souring VSCode? All AI IDEs need a solid editor as their basis and building that basis took more time than building any of the AI forks

My Cursor input field was showing this message. I was so confused and thought the AI has become sentient, before I realized I must have accidentally hit the voice mode and it was transcribing the music that was playing in the background

I have an idea for a small web app I want to build: Taking a bus is slightly different in every city. Buy the ticket in an app, pay the driver in cash, only exit through the back door, etc. etc. I'm thinking of a simple overview for each city that gives you all the information and links to […]

I’m so tired of authors using AI generated stock photos on their articles. They all have the same visual style, it doesn’t make me want to read the article more and I feel it devalues their work by associating it with AI slop

Messenger for Mac is being shut down. It started as an Electron app, moved to React Native Desktop and eventually Mac Catalyst. I worked on it for some years, but the company never really wanted it and it was only made possible by passionate engineers pushing for it. Looks like the finally lost […]

With people getting more used to online age verification, platforms could stop doing most of their content moderation (except for illegal content). Would probably be cheaper for them.

I’m regularly seeing ads to buy property in Kumasi, Ghana on Instagram. I assume it’s because the development is called “The Greenwich” and someone messed up their targeting with Greenwich, London. But maybe it’s a sign and I should move to Ghana?!

I sometimes make the same mistake: taking the cheaper Stansted flight, but ending up paying more for a 5am cab to the airport than just flying from a proper airport
