I don't post up here much these days, but seeing Sarah Kendzior getting suspended makes me sort of glad I don't. Suspending one of the most unwavering voices against authoritarianism is not a good sign for the future of this app.

You don't understand, peacefully surrendering power to the guy who incited a violent coup attempt shows how much bigger people we are!

Had a pornbot add me up here and before I could even start the block and report process the account was taken down. This is what competent moderation looks like, huh?

Anyone else leave the TV on for their cat when you leave the house and come home to scenarios like this?

Once again, an awful person is no longer with us. It's okay to not feel sorrow for that person no longer being with us after a lifetime of harmful decisions (that took many lives in the pursuit of profit). Dancing on their grave still feels morbid to me though.
Rooting for someone to die is a line I refuse to cross. While I understand not feeling sorrow for a terrible person no longer being with us and no longer being able to cause people harm, actively rooting for them to die feels like crossing a Rubicon that leads to further inhumanity.

Friendly reminder that hypocrites are aware of their hypocrisy and generally don't care as long as it serves their worldview. Pointing it out to them is a waste of your time and energy at this point.

There will always be someone who knows more than you do. Speak less, listen more, and READ!

Oh look, another in the long list of rotating saviours that managed to never hold Trump accountable...

If you roll over so easily when your rights and basic dignity are on the line, what faith are your constituents going to have in you standing up for theirs?

It's nice to sign on to a social media app and not have to play whack a mole blocking porn bots, or be flooded with ads for cryptocurrency/obvious dropship scams every third post, and not having the worst people online boosted in every comment section.

It’s not a great sign that Trump’s win was marked by no major protest activity. Even the first time people just went out to the streets as a show against it. Now the vibe is more resignation than anything else.

I see we're back to draining the swamp so it can have toxic waste poured into it.

It may take a few months but I'm going to slowly migrate here from Musk's N*zi horror house. It'll be for the best not to be posting politics on a site owned by a man who has so much say in this new administration.
