This only serves to highlight just how low Trump has set the bar, if Reagan could be considered "good and decent" by comparison.

The first movie of hers I saw was The Year of Living Dangerously. Been in love with her work ever since. Never saw Alien, because I don't do horror.

DHS says he's not an employee. This is even scarier. If ICE agents routinely mask, don't identify themselves, and drive unmarked vehicles, then any racist POS could appear to be ICE and destroy lives with impunity.

Or even worse, a jam band that peaked in the 60s.

One could ask the very same thing about Trump.

It's not about popularity or about ticket sales. This is purely about power and control of our nation's institutions. He really doesn't care if not a single person ever buys another ticket to a Kennedy Center event.

This reminds me of a limerick:

There once was a fellow named Fred
Who was born with a corkscrew-shaped head.
He found, having hunted,
A girl corkscrew-c*nted,
But alas, with a Fred-reversed thread.

This should be the model for the Dems. Not every candidate would be like Mamdani or promote the same policies. What plays in NYC won't be the same as what plays in Des Moines. Dems need to offer what what voters want: candidates who care more about people than they do about policies.

I was raised with the ethic that those of us who were born into privilege have an obligation to use that privilege to raise up those who weren't.

The issue is not and has never been states' rights. It's always been about white supremacy and still is.
