Even in the '90s when wrestling promoters were very conservative I don't think they realized they were introducing fans to so many different types of characters and asking fans to be accepting. Wrestling was always great when the underdog was standing up to the heel and got the win.

That's completely false. The Rock never took back his endorsement. He said he regretted it because he doesn't like getting political. He didn't endorse Trump. And Kevin Nash is 100% Democrat. He definitely didn't vote for Trump.

There are some really cool liberal wrestlers. CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Kevin Nash, Mick Foley, Dave Bautista, John Cena, Jim Cornette. The Rock endorsed Biden in 2020. I'm sure the majority of the women wrestlers nowadays are pretty liberal. The fans nowadays are pretty liberal.

I remember a while back when Bill Maher was ranting about anyone who watches the Marvel movies being stupid. Yet here he is having Kid Rock on his show telling him what great music Kid Rock makes and letting Kid Rock set up a meeting with Trump. Bill Maher has gone full MAGA.
