🌱
Instead, we need to approach it with compassion & curiosity.

When sensitivity comes from a healthy place, it is a gift.
▪
It fosters the deep compassion which brings well-being to our own lives & to the lives of others.

When trauma distorts our perception, we often mishear what is being said, misread what is happening and misjudge people’s intent.
🌱
We respond not to what is happening—but to what our nervous system fears might be happening.
🌱
Misunderstandings pile up. Inside us. Between us.
