Only way to get out of the FPTP system is to stop working with it.
Vote how you align. Let the government be elected on a mandate of 25 odd percent (with a turnout of 60%) then work with the other 85% of the electorate who didn’t vote for the government in civil disobedience until PR is achieved.

The way the vote translates to seats is a majority, under our system the vote share isnt as relevant to the number of seats as concentration of the vote or unity of opposition (very weak at the moment). 326 seats is the threshold for a majority in Parliament (from this poll, reform has a majority).

The people advocating for them are USING them as distractions. The point was never to say it is purely a distraction, of course it has real world consequences. But it’s indisputable that they are used as distractions to garner support from the working class.
