When I was about 3 years old, we moved from town to a house out in the woods. I told my mother that I lived in the woods once before, when I was an owl.

She danced fawns and cubs and kits and kids. She danced flowers and she danced bees. The wind blew, the rains fell, and she danced.

Her gnarled roots clinging deep within the Earth, wooden limbs, stiff, unbending
She stepped out of her roots, tied on her red silk slippers and she danced.
She danced the mountains higher, swirling, twirling, leaping and as she lept, she danced the mountain springs.
