What weird genetic quirk have I been dealt? I switched toothpastes and for the first time in decades my sinuses are clear. This new toothpaste doesn't have sodium lauryl sulfate. Only real difference.

My choice to begin taking up Kintsugi has been weirdly prescient.
Progress on my application of kintsugi materials with titebond III continues.
Mixing clay with titebond ( Sabi urushi when done with lacquer ) produces a very hard material once dry.

So today I tried making "mugi urushi" using titebond III and flour. It seemingly sets even faster now. Durability is unknown compared to plain titebond. Application and cleanup though is like 5x easier and less messy.

My first urushi free kintsugi. All materials are food safe.
I just wanted to see if the mica powder would stick. But next piece I will spend more time building up and polishing and I will get some Bengal red to apply to undercoat.

I'm low key excited after I discovered you can use titebond III to glue ceramics like kintsugi and many of the techniques also work without the allergy issues.
After 3 days of curing it sets super hard. I'm now experimenting with final finish on one bowl.

Setting up an old Lenovo as my son's first real laptop. Compared to windows 8 back in the day, new Linux mint install feels exceedingly snappy.
Needs a new battery and I might stick a bit more ram in it. But it will be great for basic stuff.

Have discovered @armypainter.bsky.social matte varnish can work as a clear primer on plastic.
Then you can use makeup sponge for highlight and blend.

Just tried Warpaints Fanatic line of paints. Utterly fantastic paints. They can be worked until they fully dry. Very little chalkiness. Solid covering power. Needs minimal thinning.
I don't know how they did it but it's also very easy to clean from brushes.
