I'm primarily on Twitter.
I've never seen adorable rooster shaped pasta before. Forever more jokes like this will be about that pasta.

TY! I did flannel for the backing and as it was too big to quilt, I pressed and sewed the seams of each row as I joined them. It was my biggest project to date. It isn't overly warm, which is great.

@violetazimuth.bsky.social hello friend!!! I recently finished this full-sized jean quilt, I started it in 2022. Boots is in love with it! Not just the yarn either.

Now I'm cleaning up and getting thread bits out of my office chair casters.

Sheep skull update:

The skull spent a week in a 3% hydrogen peroxide bath. It's air drying, fan assisted.

A little more video of the Pictus and her whiskers.

The Pictus let me capture her eating her dinner. A few minutes after the sinking shrimp pellets landed, the whiskers started going. It is quite fascinating to watch.

Sheep skull update:

I removed the sinus cartilage, without cutting myself! That's a win.

Sheep skull update:

After soaking in water with dawn dishsoap, and two good scrubs, the skull is ready to dry. After drying, it will go in a 3% hydrogen peroxide bath to soak. Effervescence to loosen and remove lingering debris, as well as whiten.

November rains but I'd prefer snow!

My sheep skull arrived!

I already knew it'd been outside. It has dirt staining and probably spiders or spider eggs, if not some other insect egg sac, exoskeketon, or even live creature (sorry lil dudes!)

It's in water with some dawn dish soap for it's first soak. It helps with the detritis removal

I got a deal on a new skull. It was outside, is weathered, and missing some teeth--but I think I can clean it up ok for a new project.

Small cow skull project, reflection:

I'm immensely proud of this piece. It required extensive cleaning, and sculpting to replace missing bone. I used tissue paper, pages from a book, acrylic paint and my vision for it changed dramatically from start to finish.

I can't wait to start a new piece!
