Or the time I heard from a Fresno City College student who said he was planning to attend more city council meetings after reading our coverage on the fallout after ArtHop - an event that meant a lot to him, his friends and community.

Third, our stories bring needed policy discussions to the public - like the one from @omarsrashad.bsky.social that shared how the city council was trying to buy a former correctional facility near Caruthers for a giant homeless encampment.

Second, our journalism helps get people more involved in civic life! We heard that our reporting on the rejection of apartments in northwest prompted several ppl to call their elected and state officials and even formed a group focused on increasing housing supply.
