A diagram illustrating Adrian Frutiger's original system of 21 font variations for his typeface Univers. Resembling a small periodic table, 21 boxes containing small type samples are systematically arrayed in a grid of six rows and six columns. The rows represent six progressively heavier font weights (Thin, Light, Normal, Medium, Bold and Heavy) while the columns represent four progressively narrower font widths (Extended, Normal, Condensed, Ultra Condensed) plus two oblique styles (Oblique and Condensed Oblique) that pair with the middle two widths of Roman fonts. Each of the 21 individual fonts is also keyed to a two-digit number based on its combination of weight (the first digit) and width/style (the second digit). The individual boxes are colored, grouping the fonts into four sub-families according to width, with the four Extended fonts of different weights sharing red-colored boxes, the eight Normal and Oblique fonts blue, the eight Condensed fonts yellow and the four Ultra Condensed fonts green.

Because the images were downloaded from various websites, it is doubtful that the children or their families gave consent for them to be used in research, says Gail Alvares, principal research fellow at the Kids Research Institute Australia. “Just because you have provided an image to the internet does not mean that you necessarily provide consent for that image to be used for research purposes.” A Kaggle user broached these same concerns in a comment, and Piosenka responded that he had not violated privacy restrictions because all images were publicly available, adding “how can one be more ethical than to try to foster early detection and treatment of Autism in children. You sir are way off base.” Piosenka did not respond to The Transmitter’s requests for comment by email and phone.

The dataset contains more than 2,900 photos of children’s faces, half of which are labeled as autistic and the other half as not autistic. After learning about a paper that cites the dataset, “I went and downloaded the dataset, and I was completely horrified,” says Dorothy Bishop, emeritus professor of developmental neuropsychology at the University of Oxford. “When I saw how it was created, I just thought, ‘This is absolute bonkers.’” Without identifying each child in the dataset, there is no way to confirm that any of them do or do not have autism, Bishop says.

One of the sources said the planned meeting would include Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, FBI Director Kash Patel and Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado, who has wanted the Justice Department to release their trove of Epstein files and has signed onto the effort in the US House to force the vote compelling their release.

I completely have not used the word Libertarian in describing myself since I got an email during lockdown where a person from a Libertarian organization wrote to me and said, “We’re doing an anti-mask demonstration in Vegas, and obviously we’d like you to head it.” I looked at that email and I went, “The fact they sent me this email is something I need to be very ashamed of, and I need to change.” Many times when I identified as Libertarian, people said to me, “It’s just rich white guys that don’t want to be told what to do,” and I had a zillion answers to that — and now that seems 100 percent accurate.

Nicknames The name Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers was first used to describe the team in 1895. The nickname was still new enough in September 1895 that a newspaper reported that "'Trolley Dodgers' is the new name which eastern baseball cranks [fans] have given the Brooklyn club." In 1895, Brooklyn played at Eastern Park, bounded by Eastern Parkway (now Pitkin Avenue), Powell Street, Sutter Avenue, Van Sinderen Street, where they had moved early in the 1891 season, when the second Washington Park burned down.

In the regions of Canada that use daylight saving time, it begins on the second Sunday of March at 2 a.m. and ends on the first Sunday in November at 2 a.m. As a result, daylight saving time lasts in Canada for a total of 34 weeks (238 days) every year, about 65 percent of the entire year.
