Today's front page on the £400m cash injection needed to replace the Tyne and Wear Metro's signalling system by 2030. Not as shiny and exciting as new trains, but if the signals don't work then those trains won't be able to go anywhere...

What a day. Brilliant to be on board the first of the Tyne and Wear Metro’s shiny new trains as it entered passenger service.
