I agree. I don’t believe he’d be reelected today, but still, too many people cheer him on. I think it’s more from ignorance than malice, though there’s some of that too, unfortunately.

I don’t know about 4 times more, but more sure, if backed by a guarantee that the product is well made, in the US (or other democratic country that trades fairly with us), with good environmental/social stewardship. It’s possible (kind of) to find products w/ those claims, but how can we trust them?

The technology is rapidly evolving, but we can already see that making a battery that can last the life of the car is not an issue. After that, used batteries can be reused and eventually recycled. There is, however, not practical way to scrub co2 from the air once released from a combustion engine.

Fuel cell or combustion? Regardless, the efficiency of hydrogen as an energy carrier is very poor compared to battery storage (if produced from renewable energy, which is the only way it makes sense).
