Starting in late 2026, Google will require developers who distribute apps outside Google Play to verify their identity. If they don't, users won't be able to sideload those apps on phones with Google Mobile services (ie most Android phones outside of China) arstechnica.com/gadgets/2025...

NEW: The music distribution platform SoundCloud updated its terms of service to allow it to use artists' uploaded music to train AI.

The change quietly went into effect last year. It looks like a lot of SoundCloud users were caught off guard.
