I was early teens & it certainly inspired my literary endeavours (not that I stuck with them past high school but that’s another story).

The neuropathy would certainly make it interesting, I remember with one of mine I was taking some medication at the time that made my skin more sensitive to sunlight & when the sun hit it it felt like I’d been branded

I’ve only got one knuckle done, but I don’t remember it being that bad. Certainly nothing like what people have said the head’s like.

I recently accepted that I could no longer keep these that I’d been holding onto for decades. But I sent them to an old friend (who’d given me some of them to begin with) who uses them for art so they wouldn’t go to waste
