The population loading is supposed to occur in the House of Representatives. Small states are literally not supposed to have outsized influence in the House. Besides, the bicameral legislature was a "fuck it, let's just have both so we can move on" kind of compromise.

Except that pizzas are round b/c of how they're manufactured, boxes are square to cut down on manufacturing costs & easy of use, and slices are triangles to make each piece the same size (and cut down on labor). The real lesson is a little knowledge makes silly mysteries go away.

The hardest part about writing the email is not neceasarily typing it out. It's understanding the intended message well enough to start writing the email in the first place. The act of writing helps grant understanding that is further built upon in the future.

He may be in denial because the problem is too big and too scary. Also, "let's just talk" strategies work with most people that aren't abusers. Ezra appears utterly unprepared for how to handle this conflict

Yup. The Department of Defense is used in an offensive manner that provokes war quite often. It is Orwellian to pretend the organization responsible for all kinds of war is only for defensive purposes in pursuit of peace.

1/2 The part I find eerie is if this is what language is at a fundamental level. Like, is the human brain using chemical potentials to represent these matrix multiplications? Kind of spooky to think about, but the evidence isn't there to draw any strong conclusions.

The fact that it was the worst text editor known to software made it the best tool for certain use cases. It's wild how microsoft keeps digging even when they hit bedrock in their race to the bottom.
