Take the links out of your linktree or website, pull your music down, and stay consistent please. And yeah i get it, spotify sucks. I truly do get it. But I really think this is the wrong way to go about it if youre angry. Uh so thats my thoughts. Maybe incoherent but it was on my mind.

Also I feel if you have millions of listens on spotify, and youre saying this sort of stuff, and have a link on your carrd or your website or something, or making music for games or netflix. Then turning around and pulling the ladder up and telling other artists to find another way up.

But also why do you just post the spotify hate when wrapped comes out and the people who dont interact with music start trying to interact with it again? Keep the energy up all year, like actually be consistent. The only time of year your vitriol is directed at normal people more than the company?

But dont get mad at people who are just trying to interact with music the only way they can or artists trying to push their career forward in the only way they can. I guarantee if i asked about cars/basketball/rugby/cricket, a lot of music artists wouldnt be able to use the same langauge a fan would

Why are you mad at the laymen and the people listening to music for getting excited to talk about music in a limited setting? Why do you expect them to adopt the language you use to talk about music to talk about it and not just talk about listen time or just say they love it. Get mad at Spotify

Like they have a successful game shipped with their soundtrack with millions of hits on their spotify, and have enough social clout to move off platform and do way better than everyone else. And then get riled up when the laymen interact with music the only way they know how. Like why now?

Mood honestly, always get my hopes up that I'm gonna discover some hidden gem of a composer then suddenly genshin impact music or something
