The Salamanders in general are the bros of the Imperium, and they're my main army. Doesn't mean they can't be dicks, but they defend human populations rather than just looking to eradicate enemy threats. There's other "good" chapters, and some not so good, yet all "loyalists".

So for ten thousand years there has been a war between the "loyalists" and chaos. The tyranids are an extra-galactic threat who has laid waste to worlds across our galaxy. Fighting Tau, Orks, Necrons, Eldar, Dark Eldar, basically everyone.

The chaos gods were born from these feelings at various points through history. The newest being Slaanesh, who was created thanks to the hedonism of the Eldar. Each chaos god has their own shtick.

The warp is a dimension that exists outside of space and time. Originally a calm area of psychic energy it was ruined by the War in Heaven. It is fuelled by the feelings and emotions of every inhabitant of the universe that there is and has been.

The current setting is in the 42nd millennium. However in the M30 there was the emperor of mankind and his 20 (but two disappeared) legions. However 9 fell to the chaos gods who live in the warp.

They absolutely do. The custodes thing annoyed me, not because there were female custodes, but because it was piss poor effort and honestly just felt like a weird platitude which was insulting. No lore, no fleshing out, just a hand wave.

That could be cool. Woman are in every other imperial faction, mechanicus, knights, titans, SoBs, guard, inquisition, SoS, why not astartes.

Let's see GW do better than just female space marines. Outfit them with marine armour etc, but let's get them the lore, the units, the names they deserve. Let's get Amazons in space curb stomping Chaos.
