I haven’t been able to audition or record anything in months and I feel like I’m getting left behind.

I’ve put so much work into this passion and to think that it could be taken away from something outside of my control is devastating. Each day that passes without getting better makes it harder and harder to stay positive about the situation. 5/?

I can’t really take a vocal rest either, because the reality of running a small business, especially a restaurant, is that I HAVE to talk everyday, there no way around it. Facing the reality of possibly not being able to act again has been incredibly hard. 4/?

It’s been over a month now and I just don’t seem to be healing, and I’m terrified the damage is permanent. If I take too big a breathe or raise my voice at all I’m sent into a coughing fit that brings me to my knees. I’ve tried all the teas and remedies but nothing seems to work.

Well then at the end of January I got a particularly nasty respiratory infection. After months of doctor visits and trying all kinds of medicine I was able to beat the infection, but the coughing that came with it cause some pretty severe damage to my throat and vocal cords. 2/?

4. Book my first paid role.
5. Have at least one coaching session a month.
6. Get accepted to 3 more rosters.
I’m not gonna quit, 2025 will be the year the tires stop spinning and we finally get some traction. Thanks everyone for your support and patience with me, LETS DO THIS!

Setting some goals to keep myself accountable.
1. Audition 10 times a week, no excuses, no exceptions. All the training in the world doesn’t mean shit if you don’t put yourself out there!
2. Become friends with more voice actors.
3. FINSIH MY DAMN ANIMATION DEMO!

It’s time for a change, I’m not gonna let my hard work go to waste and let another dream just stay a dream! Got a new morning routine that has already been helping me and now we have some help at work. 2025 is going to be the year of the grind.

I figured “what’s the point of auditioning? Even if I book I won’t be able to record, I have to work everyday.” I was delivering lines late and started to get angry and jealous of fellow voice actors success, it was shameful and embarrassing, BUT THAT ENDS TODAY!

Friends, family, hobbies, my own health, and especially voice acting. I’ve barely recorded anything in months, every time I think I have the motivation I realize I’m just forcing myself. I had lost almost all motivation to do anything else but work and sleep.
