Just a dude, a Dad, a library technician.
I build model airplanes, do karate, try to write fiction.
But mainly the Dad thing.

Tonight I finished Lessons in Magic and Disaster, by @charliejane.bsky.social ,complete with emotions in the break room.
I saw the Possession comparisons, but Possession was a slow burn that took me 3 damned months to read and this is a roller coaster ride through someone’s heart.
Go on the ride.

Latest completed read: The Tapestry of Time by @kateheartfield.com , which is full of awesome. It’s an occult secret history/family drama/love story set at the close of World War Two, and I couldn’t put it down.

I don’t know why some books take me a long time to read, but this was part of the stack of books and movies I took home over the Christmas break that didn’t leave my desk.
I’m glad I picked it up again, though.

Which is interesting, as this is another grumpy bastard who was sitting across from me on a train in Paris last year.

I just finished Winterset Hollow by @thisone0verhere.bsky.social and I enjoyed it, but I’ll never look at the Hundred Acre Wood the same way again.

My in-laws give us books on Christmas Eve. Favourite holiday tradition.
I’ve been interested in this gem for a while.
