The TWA terminal hotel at Kennedy is really worth a visit! (And not just for the prominently-featured split-flap sign.)

and it should be obvious that no matter how honestly someone opposed the Biden/Harris policy toward Israel (assuming that’s point of the Chamberlain comparison), allowing Trump to be elected has been so so so much worse. Not only for the Palestinians, but for every oppressed group across the globe.

Architect here. Yuck.

NYT today: “Weapons Aid to Israel: The State Department announced that it was planning to send Israel more than $6.5 billion of weapons aid that included Apache attack helicopters and combat land vehicles, bypassing a congressional review process for the third time to send weapons to Israel.”

This article describes a lot of technology like it’s ancient history, but many working architects remember the office Leroy set from the days when construction docs were hand-drawn. You wouldn’t use it for the drawing notes, but you would for the title block, or maybe a client presentation drawing.

The GOP leader has no core beliefs - that’s been obvious for 40+ years.

Ha! That’s a first!
Yes, the Harris campaign and the Democrats could have (of course) done better.
But by November it was clear that America had two possible futures, and it was obvious what a Trump presidency would bring. Withholding support for Harris for whatever well-intentioned reason….

Mascara?

Anyone who saw the choices available and didn’t vote for Harris helped elect Trump.

When canvassing for Harris, I ran into voters who couldn’t bring themselves to support her over Gaza, and I said, “However bad it is now, it would be worse under Trump.”

In hindsight, can anyone argue with that?

But everyone breathing clean air is!

I’d suggest that energy prices have more to do with government policy than the source of the electrons. There’s lots of evidence that wind power will lower UK power costs.

UK secures record supply of offshore wind but price rises
The government says the projects will bring down bills but the Conservatives say it is locking in high wind prices.

The only people responsible for the Trump presidency are the ones who voted for him.

The people responsible for Donald Trump winning are the people who voted for Donald Trump. Harris ran a decent campaign. Post-pandemic inflation, uninformed voters, and short memories did her in ( by about 1%).
