I ask questions out of terror that *she* will ask *me* questions and my essential boringness and lack of interesting details will be revealed...

(Also, I'm apparently a pretty good listener and ask questions that show I'm listening, seemingly a rare trait amongst my fellow men😮‍💨)

Oh sure, cuz the existing regulations couldn't possibly exist for any good reason. I'm sure we can ditch them for simpler ones without any consequences and everything will be juuuuuust fine...

of course it's real. unless I've hallucinated my childhood...

which, come to think of it, would explain a few things

Sure. Because we feel shame. Clearly, his supporters don't or can't

And then there are those who are using Trump to further their own evil desires eg. Stephen Miller, a man who would not have been an iota out of place if he'd been serving under the Fuhrer 90 years ago

If I had to choose between someone who follows adult film performers & OF models and someone who follows Nazis & white supremacists, I'm going to go with the former every single time

Most adult film performers & OF models seem like pretty cool people. Why *wouldn't* we follow them?

If frustrated incels wanna get laid, they should be upping their game and re-making themselves into someone who is worth getting laid, instead of being lazy pricks and demanding others lower their standards and hand out pity fucks 😠

I know of one woman who, despite being highly qualified, is flying back home to S. Africa shortly because she can't get sponsorship or anything. And I rather suspect that at this point, she's glad to go, given where this country seems to be going

Prior to starting my new job where mobile phones are not allowed on the premises, I hadn't worn a watch in over 25 years - basically, not since owning my first mobile.

Took me a bit of time to get the PS, but this was one of my first buys for it and it utterly hooked me. Everything about it just clicked

Yeah, this one is definitely missing a spark. I've got a Swiftie friend whose initial judgement on it was "kinda meh". Considering this came off of the back of the Eras tour, I think she could have used a bit of extra time off to recharge the creative batteries

We really seem hell-bent on repeating the 100 year cycle - we had the global pandemic that killed millions and traumatised the survivors, there's the ongoing rise of authoritarianism & fascism, and we're heading for the modern day version of the Wall Street Crash of 29 (the "Silicon Valley Crash"?)

I shall repeat myself once more:

People aren't going to vote for Diet Reform when Full Fat Reform is also available

Just because McSweeney brought home a massive electoral majority doesn't mean the public want what he's offering, we were just sick of the corruption and incompetence of the Tories

Yup, same here, even though I'd already seen the news about this elsewhere

Project Hail Mary

And maybe you can find out which idiot thought it was a good idea to continue that trailer beyond 2 minutes and 26 seconds

(I'd already read the book, but I'm annoyed they've spoiled that element for those that haven't)

Another problem is that some games will suck you in for entirely too long. Yes, this has always been true (I spent 100s of hours playing FFVII back in the 90s), but these days I'm very much aware of all the other games I'm not playing while I'm collecting yet another Korok seed...

We may not have seen any detail but we can make inferences from who this govt. associates with (*waves at Palantir*) & who it has given jobs to (*waves at Tim Allan*). Between that & the way this govt. has gone after people for protesting a genocide, I see no reason to give them the benefit of doubt

I'd definitely go with "heretic" as it relates purely to their present beliefs being at odds with actual doctrine, whereas I think "apostate" depends on them having believed a correct version of the faith previously (and I doubt some of these people have EVER understood Christ's teachings)

On the plus side, we're about to do it all over again
September 25, 2025 at 12:51 AM
There's a reason why the White House no longer publishes transcripts of Trump's speeches - because he goes off the rails at every opportunity and his increasingly demented rambling is getting progressively more incoherent

And it's clear there is no way he's the one running the country

Don't they have a fiduciary duty at this point to sue the everliving shit out of Trump, given what this is going to do to their share price?
