Threw on the first movie of The Nutcracker recommended by Apple TV. Was surprised to find it starring Macauly Culkin soon after his Home Alone role. And then I noticed how similar the story arcs were, so now here you have it, Claude’s analysis of Home Alone as a retelling of The Nutcracker Suite.

Take Google Photos, for instance: On iOS, if a friend shares a google album with you (which is the default way to share a photo on Android), you’ll be taken to a page that pushes you hard to the google photo app, which promptly pushes for full photo syncing.

It’s a little weird that Bluesky asks for access to more photos when saving a photo.

Sterilite containers at Target, sold ~6 months apart, changing their dimensions by a single inch, seemingly so you would have to replace all your containers to maintain stackability. Those execs should be boated to the gyre and flogged.

Just got a batch of spammy follows. Smells off to me. Maybe just carrying over engagement hacks from the old site, but still weird. Like why all at once? Surely a common owner.

A top takeaway from reading “Dawn of Everything” was I wanted more stories of Kandiaronk, and they’re mostly from the accounts of Lahontan.
