Oshkapeers or Dreamers are creatures from Book 2 of the MoonFall Saga, The Cradle of Ice, by James Rollins. Artwork done by Danea Fidler, creatures copyrighted James Rollins. Dreamers are dark octopus like creatures with crustacean-like plating on its head and tentacles, a ring of black eyes around the body, barbed suckered tentacles, and spikes and glowing iridescent stripes on its head. There’s a fully detailed dark sketch of a Dreamer from the side with its tentacles flowing in the water. Then there’s sketches of it crawling on the ground, one coming at the viewer with tentacles outspread for an attack, one of it resting on the ground, and two of the Dreamer swimming the water. An older creature of mine, but still a favorite, the Tirgaik ♥️

The Tirgaik is a leopard seal alligator-like creature. The Tirgaik is an aquatic carnivorous mamma creature that inhabits the more northern arctic seas of Moahta. These creatures are ambush predators, who wait just below the water’s surface to catch prey as they enter the water’s edge or shallows. They can wait underwater for hours before having to come up for air. This is helped by the tirgaik being able to close off its nostrils that are located on the top of the snout while underwater. Long whiskers allow the tirgaik to detect any slight movement with the water and its elongated body, flippers, and powerful tail are made for speed and power underwater. It can also somewhat walk on land and will rest on land to digest large meals, sunbath, or feed off kills from other land predators. The tirgaik is a warm-blooded mammal, and being so enables it to go long periods of time without food in the winter when food is scarce and most of the water’s surfaces are frozen over. Going without food for so long is done by going into a semi-hibernation state and surviving off the blubber reserves. The Goaok packs that live off the shores are the primary predator of the tirgaik, which is why it also has protective armored scales along its body. This is my grave cleric OC, Aztai. As you may have noticed I love cincerious vultures, and it was an absolutely joy to create a character based off of my favorite vultures.

Bipedal humanoid non-binary cincerious vulture based character design.
