This debate has felt important to me. I'm pleased with the outcome today, but even more so, I'm pleased we again have a Parliament that can tackle difficult issues respectfully and reach a brave, progressive outcome. Lots of grown up public service on display.
Whatever your view on assisted dying, this Commons debate has shown MPs at their best: thoughtful, measured, respectful, non-partisan. A good antidote to those who think they're all in it for themselves.

Reliving 2009 when I joined a short-form social media platform and it was fun, informative, and not absolutely bonkers.
