After a few days of nights in the 20s, even my most resilient mums are done. I guess I have to make do with pictures and memories until the daffodils and hellebores start coming in next year.

We've been experimenting with different ways to intentionally cultivate (outdoors) some mushroom varieties that haven't done well for us as logs full of plugs. This was lion's mane grown by layering large slices of logs with innoculated sawdust.
