🎵What do you want me to do...To do for you to see you through? For this is all a dream we dreamed, one afternoon, long ago...Such a long, long time to be gone, and short time to be there...🎵

Ten years gone.

This is my kid Bean. He has Autism. He's been on the Today Show and in People Magazine and a grocery store named a peanut butter after him. He raised thousands of dollars for autism research and donated thousands in proceeds to hunger projects. His lacrosse team held a special game to honor him.

This is Poppy. She’s a miracle. I can’t remember what I paid for her—it wasn’t much. Even her glass is intact. Looooook at that inlay!!

This is Spampton. He’s a Chippendale chest of drawers made in 1769 in the Delaware valley from walnut. He weighs a million pounds and is a puzzle box. Took me months to figure out how to open him. $50 from the back of a barn, covered in dust.

(One of) my claim(s) to fame is thrifting. Finding old abandoned things makes me so happy. I used to do a Twitter thread every Thursday. Here are a few of my favorite finds…

I have a shark-shaped fountain pen that I filled with bright red ink and it brings me so much delight when I write with it. I giggle every time.

My Christmas tree is always a vintage mess—but I added tinsel this year and those little strands of sparkle give me way more happiness than they theoretically should.

Do you have a matching tree or a hot mess?

Same. I'm a litigator and immunocompromised, and I still mask any time I'm inside in person—including trials. It's exhausting but I do what I can within my safety parameters.
