I make things out of yarn and thread in tatting or crochet. :)
The little flying pig in my display picture is a pattern by Jane Eborall.

A water bird taking flight from the lake surface. Quite a nice spot in the park.

There is a plushie aubergine at the office that was most likely torn up by the dog that visits sometimes. The other day, I brought my needles and thread and performed some much needed surgery. :)

The witch's cat on a broomstick. Tatting pattern by Mark Myers. I enjoy unusual patterns like this one. I keep saying I'll stitch these to some t-shirt or something, but I just keep putting it off.

I now have two completed dog heads. Not identical, mind you, but I'm still happy with the results after so many issues and mistakes.
The bodies are already made. I just need to make the paws, tails and belly patches. Such a complex pattern, but very cute

I was just about to say I'm almost done hurray! But... I had to get new yarn and there wasn't any in the same dye lot. You can barely see it in the photo, but the last two rows are a bit more vibrant
That being said, I did prewash the other yarn. So will do the same with the new one and see

Today in the park, mommies coot and duck and daddy duck and their respective offspring. They're already a few months old already. I've never seen coot younglings before, they're cute! :)

And all better! New face patch, since I couldn't salvage the old one, plus new nose. I'm much happier now that I won't have a wonky plushie for my commission, even if it is for my colleague. And just my 4th time making amigurumi. :)

He looks a little naked now...

I think a simple change of perspective can help me finally fix this amigurumi. It's not the eyes that are crooked... it's the nose! Since removing the eyes at this stage would be a huge amount of work, I can just cut off the nose and re-embroider it. :)

I was just randomly photographing this plushie head and I guess it fits with the #CrochetAway prompt for WIP. It's been through a lot, the poor thing, having slightly askew eyes, that I tried to fix with the help of the face patch. Time for eyebrows now.

Amigurumi is cute, but, boy, does it hurt my wrists!
This is an ear of a beagle, pattern by PatchCatCrafts.
Three more to go for a pair of doggies I'm making as a commission.

An older work that I enjoyed a lot. The pattern is Anne Bruvold's Dragon: nuperelle.net/drager/monst...
I liked this pattern from the first time I saw it and I'll definitely make it again. I think I'll sew this one on clothing. :)

I chose an all cotton yarn for the scarf because the buyer said they didn't want it too thick. It's ending up a bit heavy though, so I think I should have gone with a mixed yarn... Also, comissions can be tedious. I'd rather make things at my leisure.

An oldie but goldie: the wheat bracelet. An adaptation of mine of a free pattern on a tatting site now gone. I made myself one years ago and I still wear it on occasion. Also, Coats' Aida thread is awesome for tatting jewellery. :)

I've just finished embroidering the face of the second amigurumi crochet beagle (pattern by PatchCatCrafts: www.etsy.com/ca/listing/7...). It's the one on the right. The left one is already stuffed and closed. I've already made this pattern once and it's really nice and easy to follow. :)

I'm making a C2C scarf using Schachnmayr's Catania cotton yarn. The blue works out ok, but the red I need to switch to feels much rougher and works up more loosely. It almost feels like it's coated in something. I've washed the red, hoping to soften it up...
