If I could be anything in the world, I'd choose to be an amorphous slime
I mean elves weren't sexy until Tolkien got his hands on them and it became the gold standard. Slime isekai made goblins hot AF and it wasn't the first to do such.

Even if it was true, people need to be reminded, who was President during J6 and who could direct the FBI to do such?

I just don't understand Avatar as a franchise except as a vanity project. The techniques used in production are cool and all but its always just... mediocre. Outside of what seems like forced relevance, i never see it talked about as other franchises would be.

How I felt when i went to Emo Night World Tour a few years back. The music playlist was my teen years in highschool in the early 00s, the average age was maybe early 20s.

I believe any ad using AI should be banned personally. Especialy so if said ads relate to personal healthcare of any sort.

Because they know not matter how you spin or look at it, you bombed people who were not a threat and even if they did have drugs, it is extremely unnecessary to use a god damned missile to blow up a 2 person boat when you have military ships in the area.

First convince your base the other side is doing so that when you do it, it's seen as countering or necessary to prevent it and they'll cheer it

Our districting is done by independent commisions but they can get influenced pretty easily. Better way is to axe district maps over all using them only for demographic and planning data and moving to ranked choice voting type systems where for fed positions
December 16, 2025 at 7:42 PM
Unfortunately even those states that do it bias the shit out of maps. Take CO for example. In order to get Boebert out of office, they extended her original district to include more liberal Pueblo. Distrtic 7, a historically Rep district got connected to liberal Denver suburbs making it a lib one
December 16, 2025 at 7:39 PM
Meanwhile the DOJ is trying to prevent the CA redistricting approved by voters from going into affect. NPR needs to start calling out the GOP and Trump naming then as fascists and dictators who are attempting power grabs

I mean, for personal reasons i like those shown but those boots arent bought for practicality. Would be like showing a convertible with its top down and posing which car's best for winter driving.
December 16, 2025 at 6:26 PM
I'd rather Netflix own Warner than Paramount. A) Because we need competition in media markets, and B) because the only reason Paramount is in this game is because Jared Kushner's private investment firm is backing them with involvement from the Saudis as well.

President of peace sure likes to get into wars.
December 16, 2025 at 5:34 PM
I'm also not saying it's the best design in the world either, I'm again just going for options that people could use as again, our car culture makes very few want to ride alternative forms of transportation that are horrendously unreliable in our country due to many factors.
December 16, 2025 at 5:31 PM
I would also like to say it doesn't have to be in the center of the highway. In the User's video, there's trees on the right that could hold such a lane. If you wanted you could make the lane on both sides. Smaller foot paths could snake down from The lane to connecting roads.
December 16, 2025 at 5:28 PM
The first fix is a lane that follows along an established path without having to mess with what's already there. The second is lighting visibility on these major roads, the third is excess power can be siphoned off for use elsewhere. It's not perfect but gives an option.
December 16, 2025 at 5:25 PM
For sure. Cars ain't going away. But we won't be able to fix our car problem here without that cultural shift. For now, we have to work within the means of car culture because our alternative transportation infrastructure just isn't there. I like the solar ped lane idea because it presents 2-3 fixes

Talk is cheap.

This is peace plan like 30 something. Putin wants control of Ukraine, US wants control of Ukrainian resources. Those are not peace agreements, those are at best extortions.

Until Putin and his cronies are gone along with Trump and his, no long term peace will happen in Ukraine.
December 16, 2025 at 5:13 PM
We were growing, but Trump's policy attacking EVs and decentivizing the market by removing credits and subsidies is killing desire of many auto manufacturers to produce them. I'm not saying the market is going away, but it's been crippled.
December 16, 2025 at 5:10 PM
Unfortunately, Trump sold a pioneering battery tech we funded to the Chinese in his first term and a major US battery company was allowed ro be bought out by China. China produces 70% of the world's EV batteries.

Witg tarrifs, the US EV market is going to stagnate for years because its too costly.

Our roads in this country in many areas have space without cutting into them. Urban centers would be a different story but there are options for that like Chicago did with The 606. Granted, not every place has abandoned elevated trains, but there are potentials that can be explored.
December 16, 2025 at 5:00 PM
I ain't talking about the car infrastructure, I just think the idea of a designated pedestrian lane like that with some PR could work wonders in some areas but it would require US culture to have a shift to be effective. Like in the video, where those trees are at just off the road that follows it.
December 16, 2025 at 4:56 PM
I think it was in South Korea they have a great idea on their major roads:

A protected bike lane that is covered in solar panels. The panels power the lights on the highway increasing visibility and act as shade/cover for peds in hot summers. Concrete barrier protect the lane and panels.

Even if it were true, can we all imagine how insecure this code will be? It will be generic and work well enough that a CEO or company will rush it out the door while anyone with basic programming skills could mess with the coding causing massive security breaches.
December 16, 2025 at 4:37 PM
I'd argue they aren't lying but it definitely is a spin news agencies always use to influence perception.

4.6% is very low but if it's increasing, that's also true

It's accurate, but definitely a PR thing. Kinda like how you see any statistic being warped to push a narrative.
