So the thing about this is that the comic is promoting the "benefits" of Lois raising this adopted child during the time of the 60s Scoop, with the child's tribe being shown as unreasonably wanting to keep the child.

I guess Marvel's explanation is that she stopped tanning for a bit.
That is their very real response to how a Black Woman turned white for a while and then became light skinned.

Not to be a conspiracy theorist, but DHS and the White House just posted a painting celebrating genocide, with exactly 14 words written and ADHH capitalized (1488 and HH). Like that's a lot of dog whistles.
