Senate Republicans want to sell off up to 3.3 million acres of federally owned land in 11 Western states.

Their draft of the budget bill includes this massive and unpopular sale of public, federal land.

Senate GOP plan would sell millions of acres of Western public land
Proponents argue the move could spur housing development, while critics counter it would shrink open space for recreation and wildlife.

If the Democrats fail to stand up now that one of their sitting US senators has been physically assaulted by federal agents, we will have to assume that they have no will to help save this nation.

Marines deployed on US soil against US citizens and now this. A US senator forced to the floor and handcuffed. Senator Murray said it well “We are a democracy. But we can lose that democracy.”

It is time for us all to stand up.

Be there on Saturday.

Goodnight 💚

Senators are ELECTED to be a VOICE for their constituents. What happens when that voice is stifled, thrown to the ground, and handcuffed like Senator Padilla was?

We have a democracy, but we can lose that democracy.

I took to the Senate floor to speak out—I hope you'll join me.

Part 2 has an excellent reminder for all. If you do anything towards federal agents or any federally controlled force such as the NG, your city's DA cannot help you. It goes to federal charges and the federal DA.

Found this two part series on Instagram by @wildwestsf.bsky.social & i must say, San Francisco seems to be doing something great here. Community planning and getting ahead of the chaos that is ICE raids in a community that does not want them.

48 persons disappeared by ICE. This acct is following up to ask ACLU-NM for the purported legal basis. As always, the tracker lists baseless detentions, but it publicizes detentions undertaken with legal cause when conditions of detention are illegal or unjust.
Last week, dozens of New Mexicans were apprehended by ICE in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Roswell. According to an ICE press release, the majority had no criminal record.

Vanishing members of our community is a serious human rights violation.

It's clear today that education is a major factor in the prevention of a fascist authoritarian govt. Affective leadership is elected only when people are taught history, develop critical thinking skills and are informed truthfully about current events. Sadly people in the U.S. are not well educated.

DHS confirms that Khalil's arrest could not be more political:

"ICE arrested him in coordination with the State Dep't in order to enforce President Donald Trump's executive order"

& again I highlight "activities aligned to Hamas, a designated terrorist organization." The phrase gives me chills.
DHS confirms that it arrested Mahmoud Khalil, a former Columbia University graduate student. They say that ICE arrested him in coordination with the State Department in order to enforce President Donald Trump's executive order to deport student protesters.
