The whole thing reeks of disorganized tampering and reshoots. And the first hour is boring as hell. But the third act rips and the ending Vader scene is probably the coolest thing Star Wars ever did, which is key when the imperative is “does this look cool?”

Bearing in mind it’s also kept on some kind of tape drive accessible by free climb? For better or worse, Star Wars’ entire world building ethos is “does this look cool?”

I always read it as some kind of bandwidth issue? Like the plans are a really big file? But this is also a universe where you can have realtime conversations with a life size hologram regardless of the distance between you, so idk.
