This certainly rings true for "Image Playgrounds". A bit like a funhouse mirror. You look at it for a minute, have a little chuckle, and move on. I can't imagine i'll open this app more than once, and I can't think of anything actually useful to do with it.

Exactly! I can somewhat understand a complex replacement for something like a camera module, or other embedded part of the system, but a battery is a consumable. it inherently wears out. Everyone involved knows it'll need to get a replacement long before the end of a phone's lifetime.

Seems like it would run counter to the individual businesses incentives who want the data, and the lock-in… hoping for the best here, but not holding my breath.
