There was once a blue lake …
On the western edge of central Naarm/Melbourne lies an industrialised 8km sq. area, and once home to a stunning blue saltwater lake.
By the mid 1900s the lake was drained by “settlers” and known as Dudley Swamp, notorious for its stinking rubbish tips.

Scar tree captured 130 years apart, these photos feature a river red gum tree in Australia, shaped by Aboriginal "Australians". The visible scar indicates it was used to harvest bark for a canoe, a skillful and sustainable method that allowed the tree to continue growing.
