I can’t remember where I got this recipe, but this meal is the favorite of one of my kids, and it’s one of my favorite to make because it’s so quick and easy (and yummy). One tube of polenta, one can of refried beans, one box of cream cheese. Assemble and bake at 350 for about 20 minutes.

The drive socket broke on my Vitamix the other day, and since it’s now out of its long warranty period, I bought the part and fixed it myself! It was super easy. I love this machine. Now I’m back in business (making my kid fruit smoothies)!

About a week ago I put a tiny baby dove that had fallen back in its nest on my porch. I wasn’t sure if it had survived, but today I can see that there are 2 young birds in the nest getting ready to fledge, which means I successfully saved it!
