By standing in this wide room meant for something else altogether the horse brought something of another possible world into the place. Was a horse more lost to the world, because of no words, or was the horse more found - or even founded - in the world because of no words? Were we in our worded world the ones who were truly deluded about where and what we believed about the things we had words for?

If a disas- ter shakes people awake, then these are tactics to remain awake without a disaster. Ideals and tools from Buddhism, human rights movements including disability rights, feminism and antiracism, nonviolent conflict resolution, and new ways of looking at evolutionary survival and economic well-being as involving more cooperation and less competition...

Coyote, treading air, the iron aloft in my hand, my hand held on the plane where I expected a surface to be. Steel can't bend, so it breaks. Or it bends and bends, bit by bit moving towards the moment it surrenders. No wonder it didn't sigh. No one wants to listen to you complain. Nobody wants to know how tired you are.
