Similar feelings here. I also chuckled and pointed out in my survey that our school has over 700 children. So the idea of parents calling the office to relay a message like a different plan for after school; kids phoning to see if they can go to a friend's house? Unrealistic and disruptive still.

And also! Piano is a great base for so many other instruments (even percussion!) My 14 yo's Piano teacher has been the BEST about weaving some "popular" music and favourite bands to keep the interest there. ❤️
