These kinds of patterns affect the most vulnerable in society: folks who are time poor, who are less well educated, people on low incomes, those with cognitive disabilities and the young and the elderly. Do we really want to be bamboozling people like this for the sake of profit? I hope not!

Some of the things I learned while reading it: deceptive patterns are _everywhere_ and I've personally seen many of these. I've even worked for companies that have used them. A lot of the time it's not even intentional, these patterns are that pervasive
