i use brick on ios and it’s incredible for blocking apps and only giving me access if i can physically interact with the “brick”. it’s annoying how much they charge for their stupid rfid bricks but whatever, not being glued to my phone is worth it

it’s totally insane. 15 days of PTO and getting 5 more after 5 YEARS, is just madness. it turns everything into a choice between life and work. just another thing that drives me so i can escape being forced to make that choice

it will be hugely beneficial. the autonomy people will gain cannot be overstated. older folks or people without a license or those that can’t afford a car. not to mention the safety aspect

these sort of things can only be evaluated on a case by case basis. but broadly speaking, most technologies are deflationary. that’s why i’m making that assumption

but then the cost of rides falls dramatically and people have more money to spend locally
you can apply this same argument as counter to basically any automation concern. i tend to agree with it. deflation and new economic opportunities can be used to overcome the wage loss
