I wish people would quit rushing the holidays. I barely got my sign and drive decorations put away and we still have toyotathon. All seasons for a reason!

I have a tip to add as well, although I fully acknowledge that Facebook sucks, there is a very active group called the Great lakes Aurora hunters that has like 80k members, if you want to know if there's auroras going on anywhere, someone on there is posting pics....

If you're a Saint Paul type, there's a couple parks I frequent for pics in the NE burbs: Bellaire Beach on the south shore of white bear lake, and for really dark, head out to the boat launch at Square Lake Park, north of Stillwater

We're smugly noting our superiority even though 2" of snow grinds our traffic to a halt and there'll be 100 accidents in the metro... But by God we talk shit about struggling through it!

#MSP local angle: that sweeper is made by Tennant, whose HQ is in Eden Prairie and has several other metro locations in the Golden Valley area. So, buy/rent/ride a sweeper, support local jobs!

I remember working at the convenience store (anyone remember Fina? Rice and 36 in little Canada), having our plow guy say he couldn't come cuz he broke his truck... Then I went to the bar (Hoggsbreath I think), and then my VW rabbit got stuck in a foot of snow about block from home...
