Maybe, but if they have renewed there capabilities it would be logical to change area if interest to actual borders. It's some time since the warzaw pact stopped to exist, so i would assume few satellites are older then that.

are you sure, i think there are a lot that implies that Russia is lacking satellite coverage over Ukraine. I haven't followed the area but if Russia satellites are Soviet origin maybe there aren't much left working and also quite old.

And I think there is a point in that Europe should be able to handle its own problems. And as Russia is smaller then Soviet and many warsaw pact countries now are part of NATO and/or EU we really should be able to
